General Resources:

Bible Study Tools on
Crosswalk.Com... this site is my favorite bible study tool. One of the
powerful tools here is the interlinear bible where you can read the familiar
English version and also the original text side-by-side, and then quickly
look up the original meaning of the words. Also, there are many different
translations of the bible available for comparison using the parallel bible.
The Nag Hammadi
Library... an excellent source for the Gnostic gospels that were found
in the caves near Nag Hammadi. The book of Thomas is particularly powerful
for me. In verse 113, Jesus is asked about the end of the world as we know
it:
His disciples said to him, "When will the kingdom come?" [Jesus said,]
"It will not come by waiting for it. It will not be a matter of saying 'here
it is' or 'there it is.' Rather, the kingdom of the father is spread out
upon the earth, and men do not see it.""
Other Women's Voices...
information about, and quotes from, about a hundred of the greatest women
writers of all times. A marvelous resource from Dorothy Disse. The quotes
from
Rabi'a
al-'Adawiyya and from
Lalla are among my favorites.
Nag Hammadi Gospels... another source for
the Gnostic gospels of Thomas, Philip and Valentine.
Sanskrit study tools:
http://members.ams.chello.nl/l.bontes/ ... a free
digital version of the Monier-Williams dictionary with over 160,000
entries... this is really fantastic... complete with devanagari script.
http://sanskrit.gde.to/ ...
lots of English translations too... Upanishads, Bhagavad-Gita, and more...
http://sanskrit.gde.to/learning_tutorial_wikner/ ... the text
version shown on this web page is ho-hum quality, but the Adobe Acrobat pdf
version mentioned in the first paragraph is excellent.
